Mindfulness Meditation for Effective Altruists

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Workshop on the theory and practice of Mindfulness Meditation, given from a skeptical, data-driven perspective. Discussion of potential benefits and harms given little attention in most introductions to mindfulness. Practical instruction in two different techniques (one of them interactive); tips for integrating mindfulness into a busy life; Q&A. Suitable both for beginners, and for more experienced practitioners. I've spent over a year of my life on silent meditation retreat, and I've been sitting daily since 2008.
